While the food is undoubtedly the star, the ambiance at The French Pantry is equally inviting. The small but intimate setting makes for a cozy dining experience, though it’s wise to be mindful of the weekend crowds. As customer Erica C. advises, prepare for a little wait, but rest assured that the deliciousness awaiting you is well worth it.
The kitchen also whips up tantalizing treats for those with a sweet tooth. The Wedding Cake, a four-layer yellow cake filled with fresh strawberries and adorned with cream cheese icing, is so good that many patrons consider it a must-have for special occasions. There’s even a loyal following for the Yum Yum cake, which boasts a decadent chocolate flavor paired with raspberry compote that marvelously enhances its moistness.

I absolutely love this place. The chicken panini is the best sandwich i've ever had and the portions are massive.

I was able to go back and retry the eggplant panini. This time it was made the way it always had been and tasted great. Thank you for making this right.

The food is amazing here! The only thing that gets tough is that the long can get long since it's a small place. You can't reserve seats until you order.... I tried to save a seat while someone stays in the order and they kicked me out of a seat saying I didn't have an order number. So be prepared to wait!

This has been on my list for while. My classmate told me about how good this spot is and she was right. The food here is good - an American and French fusion spot. I had a roast beef sandwich that was delicious. There is fresh bread for all guests. Be aware that the restaurant is quite popular and there will be a wait, especially on weekends.

French pantry was well worth the wait that was lined up outside the door. Everything was so fresh and delicious! The dining room was intimate and cozy. The chicken panini had bite sized chicken chunks and was toasted to perfection. We also had a slice of wedding cake which we are now having at our wedding because it's that good. It's light and not overly sweet. Make sure to take home the French pesto rolls - the cream cheese surprise in the middle is my fave. Make sure to toast it!!! Everything was 10/10, as always.

If this is your first time visiting, then don't be surprised if you drive right by it. At first glance it just appears to be part of a warehouse and there is no outside sign. But it's nothing that a quick u-turn and closer inspection can't solve. The employees gave us a friendly greeting upon entering. Ordering is at the counter with menu items posted on a chalk board along with a hard copy menu at the counter. We ordered our lunch along with some pastry snacks for later. I ordered their Reuben sandwich along with a 1/2 Caesar salad side, and ice tea to drink. Bread and olive oil are complimentary, and was delicious! Entrees didn't take long to arrive. My Reuben came out steaming hot on marbled rye toast with thousand island, Swiss, and sauerkraut ($16.00). It was one of the best Reuben sandwiches I've ever had! The 1/2 Caesar salad was crisp, fresh, and the freshly grated cheese made it amazing ($6.50). For a later snack I ordered their Blueberry Farmers Tart. So here's the deal, the lunch menu is very good, but if nothing else, you need to try their pastries! On the "Wow Scale" of deliciousness, my Blueberry Farmers Tart was a 9.9 out of 10 (and I never give out 10's)! It hit the pocketbook for $8.50 - but worth it. There are so many good things going on here and all of it revolving around delicious food and excellent service! Check this place out! Come early! They're open: Monday - Saturday, 10:30 -2:00pm Sunday, Closed

The French Pantry is always a guilty pleasure for me, as it's a bit of a drive, but always worth the trek there! It's a small bakery/restaurant that serves the freshest ingredients that are used to make the best food, deserts, and breads. I had the special of the day which was a Mahi-Mahi sandwich with a side of fries. They also bring you a plate of their fresh-baked bread with a saucer of olive oil, herbs, and balsamic vinegar as a dipping option (my favorite part) for the table. I also had ordered a slice of the 'yum-yum' cake, which is a chocolate cake that comes with raspberry compote on the side and is always so moist and decadent without being overly rich. I also got the carrot cake, wedding cake, and pumpkin cheesecake to-go, so I could share with loved ones. While, I didn't eat those everyone confirmed they were delightful as well! If you decide to go expect limited parking and a wait as the hours are restricted, but I think it's totally worth it!

Ordered take out and had quick service, added some tomato and mozzarella focaccia as well. Smells amazing inside- tons of fresh breads, pastries, and desserts. Greeted promptly, with exceptional service. Cute tables and setup. Ordered the chicken and artichoke bruschetta. It was ridiculously good, even after a short drive home. Crispy bread with a soft center, tender chicken and artichokes- not touch at all, with goat cheese and marinated tomatoes. Spring salad with dressing on the side. Extra roll added. Tons of food- especially for lunch. Shared and still super filling. Ordered the wedding cake for dessert this evening to enjoy, with extra strawberry sauce. Lines get long early, so prepare accordingly or order take out online. Will be back!

All the locals know this is the lunch place! Delicious sandwiches, excellent desserts - always get the wedding cake, great salads, iced tea and bread!!! Get there early because there is always a line. Tried and true this is definitely a Jacksonville treasure.
